Here are the instructions for installing utorrent on ubuntu, but since there is no version for ubuntu you will have to run it under wine and that is not the best way to run torrents.
Transmission torrent should be already installed by default on ubuntu. Check these links

Ubuntu comes with Transmission Torrent program as a default for torrents. I know, if you are shifting from Windows to Linux, you will want to bring in some stuff with you that you think you would miss and µTorrentis no exception but believe you me, Transmission Torrent will do the job for you.

Just go to Applications>Internet and then you will find this torrent program. As for µTorrent on Linux, sorry it’s another quiet story,

Similar to µtorrent is QBittorrent which is available in a PPA for Ubuntu
